Junghans German Box Clock, Petit Sonnier Strke, "Blindman Strike"

$250.00

Super Cute German Box Clock, but not just any old 8-day time and hourly strike German box clock. This one has a Petit Sonnier Strike. Called a "Semi-Blindman's Clock". The clock gives a two-note strike every fifteen minutes; once at quarter past, twice at half past, and three times at the three quarter. Then at the hour it counts the hours. I have only seen a very few of these in decades of clock collecting. The clock runs and strikes just fine. The clock has not been service, and it could use a servicing. I cannot guarantee it will run the full 8-days without a servicing, but it may. The case is blond wood in good shape. The dial is silvered brass with some tarnishing, as shown. The door has three panels of beveled glass. About 23-1/2" x 11-1/2". Shipping $65 CONUS
