Marklin ST 800 3-Unit Railcar.  Made between.1949-1956.  Blue/Cream

$1,425.00

Marklin ST 800 3-Unit Railcar.  Made between.1949-1956.  Blue/Cream painted die-cast metal.  The blue is one of the rarest colors.  The red is the most often seen of these models. I tested this unit out on my test track, and it ran, reversed and the engine lights, as well as the car lights worked.  The paint is original with a little darker blue "Swoop" added to the cab front.  I didn't even notice it at first.  The front bumper may have been touched up, I'm not totally sure.  I added close ups for the buyer to judge.  I would say it's in a solid VG condition with a few paint chips on the front bumper and a few more here and there. It's hard to find a set in original paint in this good a shape.  Many have been repainted, so be careful.  This set can be run as a diesel, or electric with the pantograph installed.  The original type 5 pantographs came with the set in the little manila envelope.  I did not install them, but it's a really simple operation.  Of course, with the panto's installed, it can get current from the track or catenary.  I have prices this set hundreds of dollars below lesser units that are for sale.  I am not accepting returns because of the return scams that plague Ebay.  However, if there is some material defect, please let me know and I will do my best to make things right.  I do not have the box.
